The Mully Home reaches out to young people who are living on Nairobi’s streets. Forced to work or beg to provide for income for their
families, they lose the opportunity for education. Other children
on the street must fend for themselves and their siblings, having
been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

• In Liberia: Caring for war orphans
Liberia’s long and brutal civil war killed or displaced millions of people. Among the displaced were traumatized children who lost their parents to the violence. Many of these war orphans were left to fend for themselves. Now that the war has ended, the refugees—including children—have returned home to discover their villages had been destroyed.
