• In Myanmar: Caring for orphans
and abandoned children
Shortly after moving to Myanmar, Pastor Cha and his wife Susan
came across four young orphans who roamed from house to house
looking for work feeding pigs or caring for cows. They took the
orphans into their home, shared what little they had with them
and began paying for their schooling.
From these four children, the Grace Haven ministry has grown to
include eight orphanages that care for 519 of children. "This
is a relatively small number compared to the 70,000 orphans in
Myanmar," says Pastor Cha. "But one thing is sure: every
child we adopt decreases the number by one."

In Thailand: Helping children
in the Golden Triangle
Our local parter serves the subsistence farmers of rural Thailand who struggle to provide food for their families. Living conditions are primitive; houses are built of bamboo and thatch. Without benefits of education, most adults are illiterate. In the “Golden Triangle,” the children are especailly vulnerable both to readily-available drugs and predators who lure children into the sex trade.
