• In Hong Kong: Freedom from addiction

Operation Dawn works with men and women, some as young as 11 years old, to rescue them from addiction. Often, residents have recently been released from jail, and others are gang members who learned to steal to support their addiction.

• In India: Bringing hope and help to Calcutta’s slums

They come to Calcutta in search of a job and a better life. But nearly half a million people sleep on the sidewalks every night. Many other families in the city live together in a single rented room or in temporary shelters.

Our local partner works with people living in Calcutta’s slums. As they offer practical assistance to those in need they building relationships with families and find opportunity to serve their spiritual needs as well.

• In India: Education for the “Untouchables”

For centuries, the Dalits (or “Untouchables”) have suffered extreme poverty, social persecution and discrimination under the now illegal, yet still prominent, Hindu caste system. The Bible Faith Mission, run by Dalits for Dalits, works to help very poor children who cannot afford to attend school.
