Where We Work: Africa

 

Africa owns a rich heritage of culture, language and tradition. Yet harsh climates, political instability and debilitating poverty frequently define the lives of its people. In this context Partners International works with local partners who communicate the hope of the gospel in both word and deed.

• Ghana: Serving the poor and unreached

Christian Outreach Fellowship serves the unreached peoples living in remote regions of northern Ghana. Missionary outreach is done through teams of staff and local Christians. The ministry also provides humanitarian assistance in the communities where they work.

Kenya: Opportunity for
the children of poverty

The Mully Home reaches out to young people who are living on Nairobi’s streets. Forced to work or beg to provide for income for their families, they lose the opportunity for education. Other children on the street must fend for themselves and their siblings, having been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

Liberia: Hope for war weary Africans

As well as sharing the life-changing hope of the gospel, Ministry of Hope staff seek to provide medical assistance, establish schools and spearhead the reconstruction of homes, water wells and churches in the villages.

• Mali: Hope for the poor

Our partner in Timbuktu, Tahanint N’Massinag E Tinbuktu (TNT), serves one of the world’s poorest regions. With ministry that meets physical and spiritual needs TNT seeks to establish strong churches among the nomadic people in this Muslim nation.

The Evangelizers Team Ministry seeks to grow healthy churches that reach remote rural communities.

• Senegal: Showing love
and breaking barriers

The Inter-Senegal Mission works in rural villages of Senegal where people are often initially resistant to the Good News. Through service-oriented projects — such as medical clinics, clean water projects, and literacy classes — barriers are broken down and the ministry is able to establish churches that reach out to surrounding villages.

• Sudan: Light in the long, dark night

Working together with Partners International, the Africa Inland Church is helping a poverty-stricken populace through church planting and holistic outreach that includes providing relief to the displaced, operating medical clinics, starting schools and developing self-help projects.
