More
than half of the world's six billion people live in Asia. An ethnically
diverse continent, it's home to some of the world's hardest working
but poorest people. Facing adversity and hostility, our courageous
partners plant churches among unreached peoples, and demonstrate
love by establishing medical clinics and other community development
projects.
• Bangladesh: Serving
an unreached nation
Few countries contain more people totally untouched by the gospel than
Bangladesh. Hindered by widespread anti-Christian sentiment, Christians
often face severe adversity as a result of their faith. And in a country of overwhelming poverty, malnutrition and illiteracy,
our partner not only plants churches but finds many opportunities
to love their neighbours in practical ways.

• Myanmar: Caring for orphans
and abandoned children
Shortly after moving to Myanmar, Pastor Cha and his wife Susan
came across four young orphans who roamed from house to house
looking for work feeding pigs or caring for cows. They took the
orphans into their home, shared what little they had with them
and began paying for their schooling.
From these four children, the Grace Haven ministry has grown to
include eight orphanages that care for 519 of children. "This
is a relatively small number compared to the 70,000 orphans in
Myanmar," says Pastor Cha. "But one thing is sure: every
child we adopt decreases the number by one."
