Where We Work: Indonesia

• Indonesia: Unreached people groups

Our partner, the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Indonesia is training and sending pairs of graduates to work among people groups who lack the witness of a single Christian or church. The workers often include development initiatives in their work with the community.

• Indonesia: Bringing hope
to primitive people

The Yayasan Pintu ministry works among the Dayaks of Central Kalimantan, Indonesia who live in primitive tribal settings along river tributaries. They worship simple idols of local origin. They have no access to medical facilities, and live on fish, roots, simple agricultural crops and wild meat available in the jungle.

• Indonesia: Serving in strong Muslim communities

The Cahaya Suku ministry takes the gospel to the most resistant and hostile Muslim communities in Indonesia. With training, courageous evangelists work in carefully identified villages.

Staff build relationships, help address community health needs and sensitively share the hope found in Jesus.

• West Kalimantan: School
for Dayak children

In West Kalimantan, Indonesia government schools are not available in every village. And the cost of tuition, uniforms, books and school supplies prevents the children of the very poor from going to school at all. Our partners are making it possible for poor Dayak children to gain the life-changing opportunity of education.
