How We Partner

Business pioneer, George Doriot, penned six simple rules that have helped a generation of financiers identify exceptional investment opportunities. He recommended that investors look for young organizations led by people of outstanding competence and integrity who were doing something new. Investors, he said, would benefit if they worked closely with these leaders and made significant and well-timed contributions of more than just money.

In a similar spirit, Partners International exists to identify unparalleled opportunities for investment in the Kingdom of God. For more than sixty years, we have partnered with outstanding leaders and organizations in the developing world. These people share our passion to minister Christ's love to their neighbours, and they are people with whom we are able to develop a common vision and plan for carrying out this work.

Through a written Joint-Ministry Agreement (JMA), Partners International and each local partner set out together our shared ministry goals and strategies.

Under Canadian law, Partners International must have direction, control and supervision over the funds we contribute as part of each JMA, though we do not exercise control over the local partner itself (nor do we wish to).

Each local partner is an independent organization with visionary local leadership. Together, representatives of

the local partner and Partners International form a management committee, which operates within the framework of the JMA to provide competent joint management and mutual accountability, in order to achieve the shared ministry objectives outlined in the JMA.
