Bahia, Brazil Outreach

Along 5,000 miles of Brazilian coastline there are over 3,500 small fishing villages. The people of these villages live at a subsistence level and are mainly sustained by fishing. There is very little access to health care, clean drinking water and education. Living conditions are very primitive. Even where schooling is available, many children don't go - instead they help the family survive by fishing.

Through our partnership with EMAF, a ministry of missionaries, we have reached out to over 1,600 of these villages. Alongside teams will help build homes for the poorest of the poor in the villages in the Bahia region. We will also provide desperately needed health and education supplies and skills training in health care, hygiene and crafts. In addition we will reach out to children through music, crafts, drama and sports.
