SERVING CHILDREN

I Just Wanted to Save My Son!

Fadimata is a 37-year-old widow who lives in Timbuktu, Mali. Recently she shared her story and how our partner TNT and their youth center for children called Elijah House has blessed her son Ibrahim and changed her own life as well.

EMPOWERING WOMEN

We refuse to be looked down on anymore!

There are around 70 ladies in the meeting, which takes place near Bindura, north of Harare, Zimbabwe. All of them are widows. Most lost their husbands to AIDS, and most are HIV positive. Some are elderly or middle-aged, but some are still young.

They have a very small but new building, only 2 years old. Everyone in earthquake-prone Japan knows that newer buildings are built with rigorous standards.

Sato came to the church to meet us and tell what happened to him. People seem to want to share their stories with those who will listen. When the quake hit, he was thrown off his feet. He crawled under a table and was sure he was about to die. When the shaking slowed down he ran outside...
