Do miracles still happen? Read on and decide for yourself.
Recently, Ashok Andrews—director of JKPS—told us of a meeting he had with Hridayranjan Maity, a new believer who lives in the village of Palpara in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal, India. At the time of his visit, monsoon rains had disrupted the planting of the rice crops in the region. Most of the farmers worried whether they would have enough food for their families. Here's what Hridayranjan told Ashok.
“When the last harvest was completed my family had enough rice that would carry us through for the next 4 months. We praised God for His provisions and asked Him to meet our needs after this supply of rice would be over. What has happened since is something that I do not fully understand.
“It is over 8 months from the day we harvested but we are still using the same rice. This is the Lord’s doing and I cannot thank Him enough! What is even more wonderful is that I had some repair work in my home and so had to feed 375 labourers during these months. These men can really eat and I praise the Lord that even after feeding these labourers our supply of rice still did not run dry.
“The other detail that I should share with you is that 14 of my son’s friends had their exams in our village. This meant feeding 14 additional young men for 15 days at our home. Hard as it may seem to believe, our rice supply still meets our daily needs. His Name be praised! Jesus never fails!”
